Department of Coach Education
General Information
The Department of Coach Education began accepting students in 2021 and is one of four undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The program is four years long and the language is Turkish. During the undergraduate program, the department trains sports educators (coaches) who specialize in various branches of team or individual sports, as determined by the faculty.
Objectives
The goal of the Department of Coach Education is to ensure that sports educators (coaches) specializing in various branches of team or individual sports are qualified individuals who prioritize ethical principles, prioritize the health and safety of athletes, work in a multidisciplinary manner to achieve top-level performance, keep up with global scientific and technological developments in their respective fields, and are capable of coaching athletes of all ages, conducting performance testing, talent selection, and guidance.

Admission Requirements
To be accepted to the Coach Education Department, candidates must first achieve the required threshold score on the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YÖK) determined by the department in the relevant year, and then successfully pass the Special Talent Exam (ÖZYES) administered by ÖSYM.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the Coach Education Department, students must meet the graduation and diploma requirements specified in the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Undergraduate Education Regulations and take a minimum of 240 credits of coursework over four years.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Coach Education Department: They can work as coaches or sports experts in all units affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports, Department of Education, federations, etc.) and autonomous federations, and as coaches, conditioners or match analysts in amateur or professional sports clubs.
