The fourth training session aimed at developing academic competencies in the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department was held.

A training session aimed at developing academic competencies was held at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Ömer Özer.

The training, titled "Information on Patent Application Processes," covered the concept of patents, patentability criteria, and the steps to be followed in a patent application.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Özer provided participants with information on the stages from the emergence of an invention idea to conducting a patent search, preparing the application file, and the evaluation and registration processes. The training also addressed points to consider during patent applications, difficulties encountered in applications, and suggested solutions, while sharing practical examples.

The event, which aimed to increase academics' awareness of intellectual and industrial property rights and encourage the transformation of innovative works into patent applications, concluded after participants' questions and opinions were taken.

The training, held in the Blue Conference Hall, was attended by faculty members from the Department of Physical Education and Sports, as well as master's and doctoral students, who had the opportunity to learn about patent application and evaluation processes.
