Visit from the Faculty of Sports Sciences to the District Health Directorate

Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Serkan Hacıcaferoğlu, and Vice Dean, Prof. Dr. Aydın Karaçam, visited the District Health Directorate to provide information regarding the faculty’s academic structure, activities, and ongoing projects.

During the meeting, the two institutions explored potential joint projects and collaboration opportunities—focusing on areas such as improving public health, promoting physical activity, and raising awareness about healthy living, all within the framework of the multidisciplinary nature of sports sciences.

It was emphasized that sports sciences are not limited solely to athletic performance and physical development; they can also make significant contributions to fields such as public health, preventive healthcare, and the enhancement of the community's quality of life.

The visit, which proved productive in terms of exchanging ideas and evaluating collaborative possibilities, was regarded as an important starting point for future joint initiatives between the university and local health institutions.
