Public Announcement: Regarding Sports Management Departments

Recent news reports in various media outlets claiming that "Sports Management departments have been closed" are inaccurate. According to the decision of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) dated May 15, 2026, Sports Management programs have not been closed; only the student admission method has been changed. Accordingly, as of 2026, Sports Management departments have been removed from the central placement guide via the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination). Under the new system, students will be admitted to Sports Management departments through the ÖZYES (Special Aptitude Test). Sports Management education continues uninterrupted, and candidates wishing to study in these departments are requested to follow the application and announcements regarding the ÖZYES exam.
