İrem BOZDAĞ, who served as a Research Assistant within the Department of Physical Education and Sports and began her postgraduate education as the department's first doctoral student, successfully completed her doctoral studies and earned the title of Doctor.
İrem BOZDAĞ successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled "Values Education within the Scope of Physical Education and Sports Courses: A Scale Development Study" under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bekir ÇAR on July 7, 2026. As a result of the unanimous decision of the thesis jury, consisting of Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan DALKIRAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turan BAŞKONUŞ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer ÖZER, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet ULAŞ, BOZDAĞ was awarded the title of Doctor.
The doctoral study aimed to develop a valid and reliable scale to measure values education in physical education and sports courses for middle school students. The study was based on the Turkish Century Education Model; The topic was addressed within the frameworks of SHAPE and EUPEA, from national and international perspectives.
Dr. İrem BOZDAĞ, who successfully completed her academic journey as the first doctoral student of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, has thus marked an important academic milestone for the Department.
