Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching SPORAK Accreditation Preparation Process
Program Accreditation Activities at Our University
The Rectorate of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University provides strong support to academic programs in the field of accreditation. In this context, program accreditation activities at our university began with the establishment of the Accreditation Sub-Working Group in accordance with the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Quality Assurance System Directive dated August 31, 2020, and numbered 2020/21. This working group has raised awareness of program accreditation through various information and training activities.
The Working Procedures and Principles of the Accreditation Working Group were approved at the meeting of the Quality Commission held on March 26, 2024. Program accreditation activities have since been conducted in accordance with these principles. Within this scope, the Accreditation Mentoring Program was launched, and a mentor was assigned to each program to provide guidance throughout the accreditation preparation process.
The mentors consist of academic staff members who have served as administrators, team leaders or evaluators in national or international accreditation organizations. Under the guidance of the assigned mentors, all programs prepared their Self-Evaluation Reports (SERs) according to the established work schedule. Following feedback meetings, the programs finalized their reports and submitted them to the Rectorate Quality Commission. Consequently, Self-Evaluation Reports for all programs at the university were completed in 2024.
The Mentoring Program continued in 2025. New mentors were appointed or existing mentors were reassigned to academic units, and activities continued in accordance with the announced schedules and training programs.
