Students from the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department participated in an event organized as part of Youth Week activities.
Students from the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University came together for an "Educational Games" event organized as part of Youth Week activities. Planned and implemented by students from the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department and the Sports Management Department under the "Organization in Sports" course led by Prof. Dr. Serkan HACICAFEROĞLU, the event showcased colorful scenes that combined learning with fun.
The event, held at the faculty's multi-purpose sports facilities, attracted significant interest from academic staff and students. Participants engaged in various educational games designed to improve attention, memory, coordination, communication, and collaboration skills. Through the games, students both showcased their individual performance and experienced achieving common goals with their teammates.
Students, who actively participated in all stages of the organization process from planning to implementation, had the opportunity to apply the organizational knowledge they had learned theoretically. Through game-based activities, participants improved their problem-solving, leadership, time management, and effective communication skills, while also experiencing the importance of learning through fun.
The interactive and dynamic environment created throughout the event strengthened students' social bonds and contributed to the development of group solidarity and team spirit. Thanks to the educational games' structure that supports the learning process, participants had the opportunity to observe that knowledge can be acquired not only in the classroom but also through practical activities. Organized by the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the event contributed to supporting students' academic development as well as their social, cognitive, and affective skills.
