The Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, and the Faculty of Engineering held a joint project development meeting.
The Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering at our university held a project evaluation meeting to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and develop joint research projects.
The meeting was attended by faculty members, research assistants, and academic staff involved in the project processes from both faculties, as well as faculty members from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The discussions focused on the intersection of sports science and engineering disciplines, with particular emphasis on sports technologies, performance measurement systems, motion analysis, AI-supported athlete monitoring systems, and the integration of engineering applications into sports science.
The meeting assessed the research infrastructure and areas of expertise of both faculties, focusing on potential joint research and development projects. Discussions also covered joint project applications for national and international funding sources, interdisciplinary collaboration models, and project titles that would strengthen the university's research capacity.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to prepare a joint project draft and establish working groups in the near future. Participants shared the view that this collaboration, which will bring together the knowledge of the fields of Sports Sciences and Engineering, will contribute to the scientific production capacity of our university and offer significant opportunities for the development of innovative research.
