Students visited our university as part of the D.O.S.T. Project.
Within the framework of the D.O.S.T. (Solidarity, Joint Action, Social Society) Project, implemented by the Balıkesir Governorship, a meaningful event was held as part of social responsibility activities for disadvantaged groups. As part of a technical visit organized in collaboration with our University's Social Responsibility and Volunteerism Coordination Office and the Manyas District National Education Directorate, 10 students from the Manyas District National Education Directorate visited our university.
The program, aimed at familiarizing students with the university environment, increasing their academic motivation, and supporting their social integration processes, included visits to various units of our university and participation in various activities.
As part of the program, the students first visited the Central Library and learned about the resources it offers. They then visited the Ship Simulator Laboratory within the Faculty of Maritime Studies, where they had the opportunity to closely examine practical training environments.
The technical visit also included a 30-minute educational and fun exercise activity for the students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. With the contributions of faculty members and students from the Faculty of Sports Sciences, participants were informed about the importance of physical activity and actively participated in various sports activities.
This visit, conducted within the scope of the D.O.S.T. Project, aims to increase students' awareness of higher education, allow them to experience university life, and help them shape their future educational goals. Our university will continue to produce projects in collaboration with different segments of society through social responsibility initiatives and to support the development of young people.
