The Coaching Education Department bid farewell to its 2025-2026 academic year graduates.

The graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University was held in a vibrant atmosphere with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail BOZ, the university administration, academic and administrative staff, students, their families, and invited guests.

Following a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, the ceremony began with an opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Serkan Hacıcaferoğlu. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hacıcaferoğlu stated that graduation signifies not only the completion of an educational process but also the beginning of a new journey for individuals who will serve society. He emphasized that universities, beyond being institutions that transmit knowledge, bear the responsibility of raising individuals who think, question, produce, and guide society.

Addressing the graduating students, Prof. Dr. Hacıcaferoğlu stressed that sports are not only about performance and success; they are also an important life discipline that instills discipline, perseverance, justice, team spirit, and the will to rise again. Stating that graduates, regardless of their future roles, will also carry the responsibility of nurturing individuals, he expressed his hope that they will continue to learn in the light of science, lead change, and create value for society.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hacıcaferoğlu also thanked the parents, stating that the patience, sacrifice, and support of the families played a major role in the students' achievement. He also thanked the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the students' upbringing, saying that their efforts are the most valuable investment in the future.

Reminding the graduating students that their connection with the university does not end with graduation, Prof. Dr. Hacıcaferoğlu stated that he believes they will be exemplary individuals wherever they go, not only through their professional achievements but also through their honesty, sense of justice, and human values, as representatives of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

The ceremony concluded with the graduating students receiving their diplomas, experiencing the excitement of throwing their caps, and immortalizing this meaningful day with their families.
